Serving
Updated: March 19th, 2010 by PK/TL
The Gospel is more than receiving the gift of eternal life and sitting passively. We believe that our Gospel salvation includes spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:7, 11) and the ability to do good works (Ephesians 2:10). That is, part of our salvation is the gift of serving.
7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.
10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Some have a consumeristic perspective of church—they shop around for something to meet their needs and suit their preferences. We, however, believe the church is the people of God, gifted and called to serve as a team. The church is God’s powerful agent of transformation in our society. It is our joy and privilege to be instruments of His love and truth to one another and to our world.
We invite you join us as an active member of our team.
